Doosan pallet and stackers

Doosan pallet and stackers – a great addition to your business

Doosan is a world-leading manufacturer of forklifts, pallet trucks and stackers. The company has a reputation for creating powerful machines that are simple and comfortable to operate. Their pallet trucks and stackers are ideal for small-to-medium warehouses, production facilities and retail spaces because they’re compact and nimble. Let’s explore Doosan pallet trucks and stackers to help you choose the right machine for your business.

What are pallet trucks and stackers?

Pallet trucks and stackers are compact forklift machines designed to move relatively small loads compared to counterbalance forklifts. The operator of the pallet and stacker trucks either walks along with the machine, stands on a platform attached to the machine or stands in the machine. This is in contrast to sitting in a cab on the machine which is typical with counterbalance forklifts.

Pallet trucks are designed to carry pallets at ground level. Stacker trucks can lift pallets in order to stack them. Compared to reach trucks, stackers don’t lift as high and their capacity is a little lower. Stackers and pallet trucks tend to be smaller than reach trucks and counterbalance forklifts. This makes them ideal for small spaces or warehouses with narrow aisles because they’re highly manoeuvrable with tight turning circles.

Doosan pallet trucks

The smallest pallet trucks from Doosan are in the Lithium Pallet 7-Series, which range from 1.5 to 2.0-tonnes. These lithium battery-powered pedestrian trucks weigh less and charge faster than trucks with lead-acid batteries. They have ergonomic handles, automatic braking, safety reverse functions and turtle mode for slow travel speeds in busy warehouses.

The Lead-Acid Walkie pallet trucks range from 1.8 to 5.0-tonnes. Designed for heavier use, this pedestrian range includes an emergency stop function, turtle mode and a contoured fork and tandem load design for easier loading of pallets. They also have a programmable controller that allows customisation of top speed, acceleration and breaking. The Lead-Acid Platform 2.0-tonne pallet trucks are very similar, only they feature a foldable platform so users can ride on the truck when covering long distances.

The Doosan Lead-Acid Rider 2.0 pallet trucks are designed for operators to stand and ride on them. They reach speeds of up to 11km per hour when unloaded. They’re a great option for increasing productivity in larger warehouses, and their heavy-duty construction makes them a robust and durable choice.

Doosan stackers

In Doosan’s range of stackers is the Lithium Walkie 1.2-tonne range to complement the Lithium pallet truck. It offers the benefits of a fast-charging, long-lasting lithium battery. A multifunctional display panel shows charge level, status codes and battery temperature. The Compact Line Walkie Stackers 1.0 to 1.25-tonne are a little bigger and heavier, with programmable controls to customise speed and acceleration.

The Lead-Acid Walkie Stackers 1.2 to 1.6-tonne series is a step above with a long mounted tiller arm which improves ergonomics and safety for operators. The Heavy Line 1.4 to 2.0-tonne stacker is similar, only this is capable of lifting loads up to 5.4 metres high with exceptional stability. To double productivity, consider the Lead-Acid Walkie Double Stacker 1.8 to 2.0 tonne.

For moving loads over longer distances, the Lead-Acid Platform Stackers 1.6 to 2.0 tonne are a great choice. They feature clear instrumentation and an emergency stop button with ‘push away’ safety function. The platform is foldable to enable easy manoeuvring in tight spaces. Alternatively, choose the Lead-Acid Pro-5 Series Rider Stacker, which features a fixed side panel and protective overhead panel to maximise operator safety. A small steering wheel and convenience tray optimise comfort and ergonomics.
