"Your Fork Lift Emergency Service"
Call us on
Before you can get behind the wheel of a forklift, you’re going to have to complete forklift training to earn your certificate.
If you’re going to be working in a yard, warehouse, port or even an airport, and you’re unloading or loading goods, the ability to be able to operate a forklift safely and confidently is important. Employers have to adhere to Regulation 9 of the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, which states that it is their responsibility to ensure that staff have received forklift training before using the equipment.
Once you’ve undertaken forklift training, you’ll be armed with the knowledge that you can operate the machinery safely, and minimise the risk of injury or accidents to yourself and your fellow colleagues. The forklift training certificate you receive on completion of your training also places you at an advantage over others applying for a job if they don’t hold one.
There are three basic training levels available, but we can also tailor training according to your individual needs.
Novice training
If you have never operated a forklift before, the Novice training course covers everything you need to know about operating a forklift and forklift legislation.
Experienced training
The Experienced training course is for forklift drivers who currently hold a licence. It comprehensively covers the operation of the forklift, its attachments, and how the attachments affect the characteristics of the forklift.
Refresher training
We highly recommended forklift refresher courses, which cover all the basics every 3 years. Technology changes, so this is a good opportunity to learn about new forklifts and how they operate.
