Bobcat, known for their compact equipment, has recently expanded into the material handling market by integrating their sister company Doosan Industrial Vehicle (DIV) into their operations. From January 1, 2024, DIV will operate under the new name Doosan Bobcat Belgium, and all of their forklifts and warehouse equipment will be produced in Bobcat’s signature colors.
The Bobcat material handling product range now includes:
– A series of diesel forklift trucks with lifting capacities from 2 to 16 tons
– LPG forklift trucks with lifting capacities from 2 to 7 tons
– Electric forklift trucks with lifting capacities from 1.2 to 10 tons, including a line of electric forklifts with three wheels for light work from 1.2 to 2 tons
– Warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks, stackers, and reach trucks
Bobcat aims to benefit from DIV’s extensive R&D facilities, machine management innovations, marketing expertise, and their extensive dealer network. This move allows Bobcat to offer a “virtually complete portfolio of compact machines” for various industries, including construction, agriculture, landscaping, demolition, and recycling.
The integration of DIV into Bobcat’s operations involves a €2 million investment, which includes renovating and refurbishing the offices in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, to align with Bobcat’s corporate identity, as well as expanding and modernizing the facilities for technical inspections, pre-delivery inspections, and service.
